Gigante numero due

I just got the new issue of Gigantic in the mail. It's one of the best-looking literary magazines I have ever seen. It makes me want to read it, which does not happen with 99% of the literary magazines I see.
I have a story called Black Biscotti in it.
It's great to be in the company of Leni Zumas, Sasha Fletcher, Michael Kimball, Sam Lipsyte, Lydia Millet, Adrian Tomine, Joe Wenderoth, Ben Segal, Robert Coover, Clancy Martin, Ken Sparling and all the other contributors. You can meet them here.

Butter on Cane

I made this video for Sin Ropas. Tim Hurley and Danni Iosello play Butter on Cane in studio, from the album Trickboxes on the Pony Line (2003).
Their new album, Holy Broken, will be out in April 2010 on Shrug Records.

I made the video editing one hour of footage. The sound is the recording of the first take.
I don't know many bands who can play like this.

The Art of Coffins DVD

Limited edition handmade DVDs with my animations on sale here. It's only 12 dollars, shipping included.
Handmade: the covers have been drawn, painted and cut out one by one, which is insane and that is why you should buy it. It’s not only a DVD, but a piece of original artwork.

You can choose between three separate cover artworks:
1) Weinende Papagei (crying parrot)
2) Upside Down (feet)
3) One Red Note (messenger playing trumpet)

I made 50 of each kind. Only 10 One Red Note left.

Nikki Sudden in my headphones right now.

Show in Milano

The third installment of my Italian touring solo show is in Milano. Opening on Saturday, February 13 at Younite, Viale Bligny, 42.
Thanks to Federico Zanatta of Father Murphy, incredible as usual, and to Barnaba Ponchielli of Edizioni Zero for setting up the exhibition.

February 21st.

Because of the snowstorm, the double feature of 60 WRITERS/60 PLACES and I WILL SMASH YOU at Creative Alliance in Baltimore has been rescheduled for Sunday, February 21st. Doors at 630pm; screening at 730pm.

Nice interview with Michael Kimball and write-up about 60 WRITERS/60 PLACES in the Baltimore City Paper.

The reviewer calls 60 Writers "a wonderful example of literary thinking becoming a visual language" and calls both our documentaries "disarmingly engaging".
